Operation Dental Raises $1.6 Million in Private Placement Funding Initiative
November 10, 2021

Operation Dental is proud to announce that $1.6 million in funding has been reached in the first month of our Regulation D 506(c) Offering. With a goal of reaching $5 million, our private placement funding initiative will support practice acquisitions and the expansion of our company. Open to the public, private placement funding expedites the fundraising process and allows us to keep up with our rapid growth on an accelerated timeline.

“We are very excited to see the positive response to our private investment fundraise,” says co-founder Matt Robinson. “This will allow us to be our own bank and underwriter on practice acquisitions while further removing us from the need to partner with a private equity group to grow quickly.”

We have grown from a single practice with a handful of employees to 10 practices with over 130 employees in less than five years. Our goal is to continue this rapid growth through more practice acquisitions and De Novo (startup) practices. We look forward to strengthening our presence across the state and embarking upon further opportunities outside of Florida in the years to come.

“This unique-to-the-industry investment fund allows us to grow Operation Dental without any negative impact on the quality of our care or our culture,” says co-founder Dr. Peter Kelly. “We can fast-track our growth without compromising on our values.”

Two investment opportunity options are available, both requiring a 3-year commitment. The minimum amount required to invest will be $50,000. To invest, you need to qualify as an Accredited Investor, which means you must have either a net worth of $1 million, not including your primary residence, or an annual income of at least $200k individually or $300k jointly.

“Operation Dental's use of the Regulation D 506(c) exemption from SEC registration marks the first-known use in the DSO industry of this private placement capital raise method,” says CFO Nathan Chitty. “These funds will bridge the gap between bank financing and the cost of acquisitions without the use of private equity funds for expansion capital to continue our 50 to 100% annual growth since 2018”.
