We are very excited to announce that Operation Dental has purchased two practices from retiring dentists in Debary, Florida. The larger of the two practices is staying in the same building and we are merging the smaller practice over. The name of the new practice is Debary Dentistry.
Corporate chains were after both practices, but we were fortunate to be dealing with retiring dentists who did not want to see their patients they have treated and gotten to know over the last few decades to be handed over to a corporate chain. They, like us, want to keep dentistry pure. They were so excited to meet us and hear our story when making the decision on their transitions.
The sale was finalized and the transition is going incredibly well! Mergers can be a delicate transition, especially when the patients from both practices were used to seeing the same dentist for the last 30+ years. Our new dentists are doing a fantastic job as the and patients are loving coming to see us! Our business/management systems at Operation Dental have also been crucial to the successful transition. Without those in place, patients (especially the skeptical ones), would immediately spot a practice that was not well-run and may decide to look elsewhere.
